A hidden gem tucked away from the hustle & bustle of Balham High Street, this community focused, dog friendly pub is one of Balham’s best kept secrets.
This stunning example of Victorian architecture has stood in the famous Nightingale triangle since 1877. The interior is inspired by this decadent period, when the scandalous Victorians lorded over the largest Empire in history, and Balham was home to many of London’s most notable characters.
Our modern twist on the traditional architecture is evidenced with sparkling chandeliers, a roaring open fire and sumptuous leather sofas. The bar offers a wide selection of spirits, including contemporary gins, rums and whiskies, an expertly compiled wine list and a selection of real ales.
When you’ve found your tipple, venture further back past our semi private Florence Room, to our exquisite restaurant, bathed in sunlight through our glass ceiling. Dine in style in one of our eight-seater booths.
We’re ready and raring for the Rugby World Cup 2019 kicking off this autumn, with the Summer Rugby Internationals taking place in the late summer to warm up ahead of the Rugby World Cup. We’ll be showing as many matches as we can on big screens throughout the pub, so make sure to book your turf now so you don’t miss any of the rugby action!
Feeling peckish? Now we’re finally in the summer months you might be looking for something lighter to eat, so we’ve put together a fabulous Meat Free Monday menu. Packed with sensational vegetarian salads and vegan light bites it’s best enjoyed on the terrace soaking up the sun.
